i tried to install Windows live Messenger and Microsoft works 8.0 in a clean install of Vista home premium but i keep getting this error(see attachment) for the Messenger and a similar one for the Work 8.0

I tried to turn the firewall off and to uninstall the anti-virus, and i have plenty of disk space

    Thanks in advance

Your windows might not be activated or validated or something of that sort.

Try installing the latest version of the .net framework. Google it, that looks like errors related to the .NET to me.
