That would depend on your preferences and usage. A pretty good 17" notebook case is the Kensington Contour Pro. Targus also makes 17" cases. So does HP.

"best" is pretty subjective, whats best for one may not be for another. However if you travel alot (who knows when they will stop letting you carry on a laptop) and need something tough as nails a pelican is about the best you can get. You can usually find them on line for about 1/2 msrp. I carry 10K+ camera gear and all sorts of electronics in a few of their cases. They are a bit on the heavy side if you plan on commuting everyday with it though.

I need a portable and reliable case to carry this eveyday when I go home from my lab. I only carry this compuer for several hundred feet. If you have this computer, could you tell me your case?

    Thanks for all replies

I have the Kensington Contour Pro and it is good. It has padding enough, compartments galore, and it comes with a separate case for a 15" notebook if you have one. The only thing is that this bag is very big. Unless you will be carrying lots of accessories and other stuff, you don't need it. But it is very good.
