This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     cd burner problems

    :confused: I am having a problem with my cd/dvd drive. It has malfunctioned twice now in the last 8 weeks and thankfully it is still under warranty. The dvd part still works, but I cannot write and/or read any cd roms. Any suggestions????

    Uninstalling the ide drivers might help. Windows will re-install them when re-booted.

    I was having "corrupt driver" issues and after several chats with a HP Tech we got to this: CD-ROM Access. Hope This Helps...
