 I am having a problem with my cd/dvd drive. It has malfunctioned twice now in the last 8 weeks and thankfully it is still under warranty. The dvd part still works, but I cannot write and/or read any cd roms. Any suggestions????

Uninstalling the ide drivers might help. Windows will re-install them when re-booted.

I was having "corrupt driver" issues and after several chats with a HP Tech we got to this: CD-ROM Access. Hope This Helps...
