for the life of me i can't figure out how to set programs/games that run in 4:3 mode to maintain that aspect ratio on the laptops widescreen display. I want to run in 800x600 with the black letterboxes on the sides, but i cant find any info on how to do so. someone help please!!

not sure what kind of windows applications would require 4:3, but if you are running a game in fullscreen, most have graphics settings you can adjust to whichever res/aspect ratio you want.

What game in particular are you having trouble with?
