I just noticed that you can actually customize the dv9500 at costco.com

The good thing about this is that from what i read you are covered for 2 years!! so this way you dont have to spend the extra $140 on the 2 year extended warranty!! As if that wasnt enough, you get 90 day exchange warranty so if something is wrong with you lappy you can just take it back for 3 months!!

I just wanted to share and hope this helps someone like me who is looking for the best deal...

Here is the link to customize it:

and heres the link to the info about the extended warranty:

Good deal? has anyone had any experience with this kind of purchase with costco?

Check the HP website and you will find that with new coupon code it's going to be cheaper than in Costco. Check it out on my page in my signature.

Well actually i compared and its a little cheaper buying through costco.com...
At least with my customization options.. something like, 2.4 ghz, 2gb ram 160gb hdd, 8600m, bluetooth, Widescreen Display (1680 x 1050), fingerprint reader..

I compared prices, even using the $300 off from hp, costco was cheaper by a few bucks but the big win is the fact that you get 2 years warranty included with your purchase and 90 instore exchange..

That might be great about the warranty, but I have just checked the comparable models and HP sells it for $100 less. Am I mistaken? I don't keep laptops for more than 1 year...mostly for far less than that.

are you adding the $300 off coupon plus the $150 instant rebate? that is the only way i can see it would be cheaper but somebody once said in this forum that if you use the coupon you cant use the instant rebate so its pretty much either or... have you heard something different? that person who informed us in the forum could be mistaken..
