    you can watch it happen even at a lower volume... just keep the volume at 60-70%... put on some heavy rock or smth similar...

    while doing nothing else in the background, watch the hdd led.. it will blink while reading.. but once in a while the light turns on for a full second... if you listen carefully you'll hear the music skip a little, after that the light goes to it's usual blinking.

    hello... i have the same problem...

    apparently the computer DOES NOT freeze... but the HDD shock sensor kicks in... and the system can not read from the HDD...

    partial solution ... turn down the volume.


    hp... any solution... maybe in the next bios...

    NB. i have the fujitsu MHV2120BH PL drive... 120g 5400rpm ncq
