I have a HP ZV5000z and I can hook it up to my TV (yippee?). What I cannot find is the clone feature that will make something showup on the tv screen. Can someone help me out?

i just got the same laptop. i figured how to use the tv output really well today. Make sure svideo is connected...try changing it to like 800x600 or something..really small. HOLD "fn" and push "f4". There are 3 different options.

    1. turn on clone. exact copy onto tv while showing up on your lcd.
    2. exact copy displayed onto the tv but nothing showing on lcd
    3. Only shows on lcd and turns off tv output.

any question..let me know. Its pretty straight forward i think.

    Gonna enjoy watching movies now!
i wonder if i can game on this?hmmmm..but i have widescreen..still haven't seen any games on this machine yet

i've done it on my pc w/ halo and it was awsome.

    Hey Fusionacid,

this is sort of off topic, but I just wondering how your laptop going so far. How's the battery life last, mine so far seem to go around 3.5 to 4 pushing the max with regular music listening and internet surfing. Also as before, how the screen resolution goes, no dead pixel I hope? Also any recommendation for a good set of headphone to go with the zv5000z then? Thanx in advance.

Fusionacid - I need instructions for #1... "Turn on the clone" - I don't have any "Clone" option. Where are you finding this check box or button?
