    compaq cq50...monitor screen is black...need help

    When the computer is turned on, the screen is not bright, basically, it is black, but if you position the monitor in the right light you can see the desktop. It seems like there is no power getting to the monitor because there is no light. Can anyone help me?

    your LCD inverter is bad....
    ebay is the best place to get those cheap....and its easy to DIY if u are willing to.
