This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     I have a compaq presario 1200 laptop..which does not startup and when i connect a power adapter to it the light on my adapter starts to blink.. in short the laptop doesnot startup nor does it light up any lights on my laptop..i think the problem is with the power jack.. so i wanted to know if i could fit an Ibm thinkpad 770X power jack into my compaq presario 1200.. ive been working on this for months and would appreciate a response on this topic..
