I have a compaq presario f700. When I am done using the computer and want to close it for a while, the screen does not turn off when I close it. I have to open the laptop about 1 inch and the screen goes black and I can close it and it shuts off. If I grab or move the laptop after it has turned off, it will turn back on and i will have to go threw the same process again. Can anyone help?

P.S. This problem started after taking the laptop apart to replace the keyboard, don't know if this helps.

How long have you had the laptop? How hot does your GPU get? Have you ever had your laptop fixed for the overheating GPU issue it suffers?
