compaq presario v3658tu

hi. i just bought this notebook model. i think compaq/hp build this model just for vista. so slow. so, i try to install xp. so, difficult to find sata driver but finally i got it. my problems is hp/compaq doesn't produce driver for win xp for this model. so, i need help to find driver for win xp for my laptop. thanks

i will list driver needed for my laptop

vga - intel 965 express chipset
sound - conexant high definition audio
lan - marvell yukon 88e8039 pci-e fast ethernet controller
modem - hdaudio soft data fax modem with smartcp
wireless - broadcom 802.11b/g wlan
others - ricoh media cards host controller
- hp quick launch button

i think some driver not include at that page

Just make sure to install UAA bus driver (sp33566) before installing audio and modem drivers.

What kind of the error message do you have?
That driver should work properly.

 

thanks. now only sound driver have a problem. when i try to install, error message will appear. i already install uaa driver but still failed to install sound and modem drivers.

 

Wudud, check in your device manager, you may found a yellow icons (except modem and sound icons) probably in PCI device, thats because incomplete installation process of UAA driver. Right click and update (choose to install automatically). After that it will detect your sound and modem properly.

yes, there is a posibbility to integrate all drivers in XP CD. However, I prefer the manual driver instalation. If you wish to integrate it, you may use nlite.
