    compaq v3000 ventilation holes

    it's just my notebook or all v3000 have the circular ventilation hole near the back parcially blocked? just 1/4 of the circle is open.

    also, my hdd temperature seem a bit high, 50°C

    Yes, thats how the fan vents are designed.

    The HDD temps are OK. It could be a bit lower but as long as it stays within ~55C. I wouldnt worry about it.
