Hi, which one is better in terms of video card performance, cuz i kno the hp7260us has dedicated 64mb of graphics while the toshiba has the 9700 discrete memory(not sure what that means :(). so anyone can give me any advice as supoosed to which one will perform better in games, with or without other background programs running at the same time.

Discrete simply means the video card has its own dedicated memory, therefore it is not an integrated video card and will give you better graphics performance. The ATI 9700 is a good graphics card, I'm not sure how much RAM is used for this particular Toshiba configuration, I'm guessing between 64MB and 128MB and if that's the case you'll get the same or better graphics from the Toshiba relative to the HP zd7000.

I had a ZD7000 and broke it so got a P35. That said i'm waiting for the ZD8000 to come out to go back.
