I've got a new dv7t. I did a clean install of vista and then installed the latest quick launch drivers from the hp site (6.4 or so). Is there supposed to be a way to configure what these buttons (besides the wireless, mute and volume) do?
Thanks

I've combed the web for information on how to configure these buttons, to no avail. I ended up reinstalling the HP MediaSmart suite of programs so I can at least use these buttons. If anyone else were able to change them, I would like to know too.
Cheers,

According the newest version, 6.40.17.2, which just came out, it says:
This package contains the software that enables the Quick Launch Buttons on the keyboard and the external Easy Access Buttons Keyboard to be programmed for the supported notebook/laptop models and operating systems. This application enables menu control of various bezel buttons, such as volume, internal/external display, and mute on/off; HotKeys; and Docked Events.
I've updated to the latest version, but can't seem to find the program that allows me to customize it. Any ideas? -
The HP Quick Launch Buttons software provides drivers that pre-program the touch buttons to do their desired functions, as well as provide a keyboard driver that enables functions that aren't found on standard keyboards (for example, using the Fn key). To my knowledge, there is no utility that lets you customize/configure the buttons or key combinations. However, modifying the driver itself can perhaps create possibilities here.

Has anyone found a way to edit the Quick Launch buttons? My Stop and Mute button don't work
configuring quick launch buttons?
