I bought my dv2000 a year ago. And now I get Logitech Z5500 and plan to connect the speaker to dv2000. According to the manual, there is one S/PDIF port with dv2000. But what kind of digital signal will be output? Optical or coaxial? Moreover, it seems the port is suitable with 3.5mm plug-in, how can I get a cable with one end suitable for 3.5mm port and the other end suitable for digital port?

thanks. But is the SPDIF in dv2000 coaxial or optical? I wrote an email to HP customer service, and they haven't replied me yet. By the way, it's easy to find optical cables with 3.5mm end; but it's difficult to find coaxial ones. Are there any?

It's optical. Mini-TOSLINK adapter to TOSLINK cable.
