i researched a few of the old threads and came up with one that recommended checking the svideo out port for 7 pins as opposed to the 4.

i'm running a dv6600 with an nvidia geforce 7150m graphics card and a 7pin output port.

i've heard i can utilize a 7pin svideo to component cable, however also saw that some people are having problems with some of them. it appears the ones with the svideo output as well as the component outputs is required for some hp laptops, whereas some aren't.

can anyone tell me if i would need the cable with the extra svideo output. i know i wont use it but it seems some of the wiring is different on some of the cables. also, if i do need one with the svideo output, where would i be able to find one? i've found plenty of 7pin to component cables on ebay however can't seem to find any on there with the extra svideo output.

    thanks,
    jonathan
