This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     does anyone know of a good / free replacement for Hp CoolSence? Hp updated Support Assistant and now CoolSence is MIA.

    You can get Coolsense in Win8 with old support assistance.

    Just install this; ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp54001-54500/sp54373.exe

    and run this;
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\HP Support Framework\Resources\HPThermalAssistant\HPThermalAssistant.exe"

    The old coolsense (aka thermal assistant) works a lot better and effective although its a manual control.
