    couple of simple questions i'm sure someone has the answers to.

    1. Does my envy have a microphone? for instance if i were to use skype or ne thing else where i'm using my webcam do i simply just speak out into the air and it will be absorbed thru my envy (haha kinda a weird way of putting it but i think you get my drift)..?

    2. what cord exactly would i need to use to use my hd tv as a monitor? are there tons of these around?

    3. I have seen on here a few times but i just want to see if everyone has the same opinions or if its just the opinion of a few that i have seen.. Would you reccommend getting rid of Norton and just going with Windows Security Essentials? I know ppl have been saying that this is a good program to use for antivirus, but if you had the choice between the two would you still use windows se?

    I prefer Windows Security Essentials - as Justos mentioned, it is a personal preference

    If you decide to get rid of Norton, you cannot simply uninstall it. You have to download and run the Norton Removal tool. Even after I did that, I still found some insidious Symantec processes running that had to be disabled

    Exactly why I prefer Windows Security Essentials. Just get WSE, and use a safe browser (Firefox, Opera, Chrome, Safari), and safe browsing habits, and you really should be fine.

    I really like avast over all others that I have tried (norton, avira, avg, panda, macafee, etc).

    For a free antivirus, it has a lot of stuff;

    Clean look, updates automatically, gaming mode, graphs, and very light on resources.

    Compared to all the others, this is by far the best program I have used.

    Avast has really stepped it up, their free one is excellent.

    MSE is also another great one. Both will do the job just fine.

    I second kaspersky as a great paid virus program. For broke college students, I'd use a combo of malwarebytes and MSE. Of course for firefox use: noscript, WOT and adblockplus.
