    hi'
I downgraded a f700 compaq presario to xp, I got everything to work with no problems but there is only one more thing that I would like to get and that is the manager that controls the cpu, in other words to slow down the cpu like it did before with vista. It was located at the battery meter on the taskbar and it was a great tool for saving battery power cause it will cut down from 1.8ghz t0 800mhz.

    p.s
I have seen the tool working on the same model of computer but runing Linux

    thx :)

I don't think XP has this option.

Use a third party tool, if it's supported, like RMClock or Notebook Hardware Control

I think they both have "profiles," but I think NHC requires purchase to save profiles.
