    cpu temprature help please?

    My CPU Temprature is between 38 to 40C when idle ,and the fan is running up and down every 3 to 4 min ,is this normal.???its a core 2 duo 1.83,on my DV 6000.so is that normal??

    PS : i have fixed the buzzing sound through Clock utility and USB power thing.and now i have shut off clock utility and on the USB power thing so clock utility isnt being used now.
    I also have another Compaq centrino solo(the normal one) 1.7 GHZ its tempraure is between 28 to 32(idle) so should the dual core 2 be lower or like it.any help please.

    I guess if you have enabled the feature in the clock utility then that is why your temps are at that range. You have to actually disable the feature to get your temps down. the reason for it is explained before in other topics, simply the feature enabled means your CPU cant go into a further sleep/idle state which reduces temps.
