Are dead pixels covered by warranty because I just noticed that I had a dead pixel. It was there before but I thought it was just a random glitch on the browser or something. I never really noticed it any other time because my background is black and the dead pixel is a reddish color.

    argghh...

it depends.. if you have a notebook from dell I think it's a minimum of 6 dead pixels for a warranty case.. dunno the HP deal though

How long have you had it? If you're still within the return window, send/take it back. Get a new one. As far as I'm concerned, dead pixels = defective product.

I've had it for maybe..2 weeks, but bought it about 3 weeks ago. I say that because I had to send it in for repairs after my bro reformatted the recovery drive.. and lost quickplay... which i still don't have even after they "restored" it.

It's just 1 dead pixel. I guess I'll have to get up on the support chat thing on hp.com again...

Hopefully your experience with HP support is better than mine. They're still giving me the run around on my system.
