In the middle east the dv7t-60xx came with 1G DDR5 Radeon 6770m, but the dv7t-61xx came with GDDR5 Radeon 6770m

my question is what is the difference between DDR5 and GDDR5 and which one is the best ?

is the only difference between 60xx and 61xx models is the muxless switching graphics ?

what is the problem with mux or manual switching ?

They're the same thing. GDDR5 just stands for Graphics Double Data Rate 5. Odds are that they just forgot the G in the 60xx description.

Thanks for your reply, but if they are the same, why GDDR cost more?
I think if the GDDR is dedicated for graphic memory as you mention it should be better than DDR which dedicated for system memory
i found many people listed the same question in google
the answers were either it is a typo or there is a difference in performance because GDDR is dedicated for graphic

After considering the problem of switching graphic in the 61xx series, I should get the 60xx but in my country Egypt the 60xx came with DDR and i am afraid that the graphic performance of DDR lower than the GDDR
so i really want to know if there are any other improvements in 61xx series beside the switching technique
and if there is any problem with manual switching

It is a typo. People with both models have reported that it is GDDR5.

There is a difference between GDDR and DDR, but VRAM is always GDDR. Like R3d said, it's a typo, which was what I was driving at.
