Have you tried reinstalling the graphics drivers?

Hello. I am having the same problem with switchable graphic cards. I believe this happened after I updated the Intel driver through either Windows Update or the HP Update. How can find the correct driver that will allow me to switch between graphics cards? Or just enable it again? Thanks.

Reinstall the drivers off of HP Drivers Page. That will get the switchable working again. If you need to update to future drivers, make sure to install them over the HP stock drivers. If you do a full uninstallation of the HP stock drivers and then install the new ones off of ATI, you will lose switchable graphics support.

To find exact model, go on hp's drivers and support website and when they ask you to search for product, put in the Product Number. I found the product number always works unlike serial number. You can find this product number by pressing Fn+Esc or look under the battery. Fn+Esc needs HP Support Assistant or hp launcher installed to work.

The product number is 7 characters long with number and letters.

Thank you. Will install the graphics drivers, I'm assuming and see what happens.

Well, during installation the screen turned black and there wasn't an obvious way to get out of it. So, I waited a few minutes, turned off the computer, restarted, and switchable graphics have returned. Thanks!
