    Will this model laptop be compatible with Windows 8 Pro?
    Also, excuse my ignorance, but with no optical drive on this unit, how would the new OS be installed?

    I used this program to install Windows 8 from a flash drive on my dv6 which I took the optical drive out of.

    So the flash drive will boot up, even on a hard drive that has been wiped clean with a low level format?
    By the way, what's your first impression with Windows 8?
