    Hi All,

I recently ordered a dm3t with pretty much all the upgrades during one of the sales. Pretty much the same day I did that, the probook 4320s showed up on their website.

I'm trying to decide if I should return the dm3t and order one of the probooks. Right now the probook doesn't offer the discreet 512mb graphics card or 64 bit OS as choice but the customer support people say it will become available soon.

Basically I just dont know if it's worth the extra money for things like a better cpu, gpu, DVD, and fingerprint scanner. If anyone has any opinions, I'm all ears and would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Wow, I would definitely go for the Probook. The DM3 IMO is trash. The touchpad is horrible, the screen is lackluster, and the specs are spretty lousy. That being said, the form factor is quite nice, as is the price. There is also nothing in terms of reviews for the new Probooks, but I think it's worth the gamble.

Thanks for the quick response. Ive read a lot of comments on the touchpad. I see the screens have the same resolution, but is there is difference in qualities?

hard to say about the Probook, but the DM3's screen is very glossy and the viewing angles are strange. For instance, the screen has to be tilted back more than one would expect to remove unwanted color distortions. Depending on your budget, take a look also at the Elitebook 8440p (there's a 13" model I think, can't remember the number), or the new Dell Vostro 3300. Acer also has a new line of thin laptops coming out soon too.

Ive kind been looking at getting a 13'' laptop also, something i can carry around to classes all day. the HP dm3t seems like it has a good aluminum outter casing. But also looked at the dell vostro 3300. what do you think?

I wouldn't recommend the dm3t. I bought one and couldnt stand it for two weeks after i got it so i returned it. The screen is horribly glossy, the touchpad (like others say) is the worst touchpad i've ever used and it just feels cheap all over.

I looked at the dell 3300 but they didnt offer a discreet GPU (should be coming up though). The dell is designed towards business users so i would expect it would feel a lot better than the dm3t.

I ended up going with the Vaio Z and couldnt be happier.

That new dm4 does look nice but i wonder how far away it is from hitting the US.
