    Good evening,
Our 2010 dv7tse was stolen in a home burglary. We are planning on replacing it with the dm4-3170se.

I cannot find an owners thread. Does one happen to exist? When I first got our dv7, there was a great guide in how to remove the bloatware by downloading a copy of Windows (the same version that came on the laptop) and doing a clean install.

Could someone possibly help me out with a link on how to do this with the dm4?

    I sincerely appreciate the help.

There is a thread for the DM4 older version but I don't see the thread for newer one. I was looking around to find some tweaks and what not.
So far, I have changed my HDD to SSD and need to configure the built in cache drive and new SSD to raid format and I can't figure it out yet.

Have you done a clean Win install? If so can you provide the info?
Good luck installing the SSD, that's above my pay grade for sure.

The install went fine other than the usb issue. I ended up in removing it because I was only getting SATA II speeds on the SATA III SSD.
