    hi guys,

    i have on my dm4t-3001tx (i5 2.5 up to 3.0ghz / gpu 7470m) cpu temps of up to 93C when playing bf3
nothing is overclocked, the intel turbo 2.0 is on

when playing d3 i have only temps of 69/70C

the fan is clean as the notebook is only 3 months old and was never used in an dusty environment

anyone knows why the temps go up so high and is it dangerous for the cpu to have it running at 93C

thanks in advance for your help

93C is a bit too high for my liking. you could use a notebook cooler to push cool air through the air intake vents of your laptop. also, you could disable Intel TurboBoost on your CPU to keep the clocks from reaching 3.0GHz; that reduced the temperatures by 5C-6C on my laptop.

okay will try that, even though deactivating turbo boost means 600mhz less power :p

alright seems to work it maxes temp wise out at 86C now, still quite high but better than the 93C before :)

it doesn't mean 600MHz less power. the CPU only TurboBoosts whenever the thermal status of the package allows it. i think at 93C, there's not much room to kick the clocks high anyway, so you're not losing much. if you ask me, lower temperatures in a laptop are much better than a couple of MHz of CPU speed.
