I have a new DV6000T and I ordered it with just the basic cd player/burner, and dvd player and didn't think it had lightscribe installed but it has the lightscribe program installed on the PC what gives?
BTW there is no stickers or labels on the drive that says lightscribe, the drive is a OPTAIRC CD-RW CRX880A.

no you dont, i got the HD-DVD drive that doesnt have LS as well but it came with the LS program. the program is just standard whether you get the drive or not
-
It usually has a sticker on the lappy along with the intel stickers or the LS logo on the actual cd drive itself...

nope, just because you have the software installed does not mean you have lightscribe. i have the bluetooth driver for my notebook, but i did not order it with bluetooth.
hp does not have custom software installed on your computer. it would be hard for a computer company like hp and offer customization of a notebook, and individually install every program/driver needed for the hardware to work, thats why everything is included, whether you have the hardware or not. -
Same here and should I leave it alone in case if I decide to upgrade to LS drive?
do I have Lightscribe ?
