    Should be the same. Two USB3.0 on left side. Two USB2.0 on the optical drive side.

    Only thing to keep in mind though, is that USB3.0 only works with 3.0 accessories. That and you will need to have the HP driver installed. If you do a clean install, and attach a USB3.0 device, prior to installing the 3.0 driver, you will need to attach it to the USB2.0 side in order to recognize the device. I don't know why - but that is how it worked for me.

    Because Sandy Bridge doesn't natively support USB 3.0 and HP has it implemented using 2 of the slower SATA ports. Ivy Bridge is suppose to address that issue.
