does any of you hear noise? (dv9500t)

i have dv9500t that is a month-year old.

it makes a noise whenever i type or tap finger on touchpad or anywhere

on surface. its worst around right-palm area.

noise is somewhat mechanical, it just rings from bottom.

i think it has to be the loose hardware.

so i sent it in for repair and got it back yesterday.

to my suprise, they did not fix the noise.

what they did was reformatted hard drive and replaced the upper case.

then, i talked to one of the technicans and they want me to send it in

for repair again.

my question to dv9500t users is, does it make any noise when you type or

tap your finger on surface?

i know its not supposed to be like that because i have dv6000t and its bottom

case is bulit like a brick so theres no sound coming from under.

 

It is your CPU. The Core 2s are known for a whining sound when the reach their lowest idling point, power save C level 4. The only way to get rid of this noise is to disable C4.

 

it is not cpu beeping noise..

i do not know the exact word to describe it

i guess mechanical clanging noise?

i know it has noting to with cpu because it would make same noise even when

computer is off, that is if i type....

 

Mine makes a slight rattling sound around the touchpad area sometimes when I'm typing/using touchpad. Thought something might be wrong when I first heard it, but then figured it was related to the latch piece that's in the bottom case. I noticed it the first few weeks I had it, but haven't heard it lately (maybe I've gotten used to it though...)

 

usually when you apply force to the area near the latch, it moves and makes a clicky noise (its very loose to the touch)

 

I just started gettin clicky noises on my Lower left touchpad area whenever I press on it, and its annoyin wish i can fix this

 

i talked to one of the case managers and he is getting me the replacement.

he is also upgrading memory to 2gb and giving me the webcam and high capacity battery which i previously did not have

i do not know if i am happy about all this, i am just glad it is over.

 

i have the same issue on my week old 9500t, the noise is in the wireless area when i type and a slight tapping with the finger on the right hand side of the mouse make the rattling noise kinda like something is loose, anyone have a sugestion, other than that the laptop is great but it is annoying though.

 

Why wouldn't you be happy about it, you are getting upgraded for free. Yeah you won't have a computer for a week or two, but your saving around $200 for the RAM, battery, and the integrated web cam.
