just bought a HDX16 from bestbuy

there is a plastic strip between the Number key and normal keyboard
if i press the strip, the Number keyborad goes up and down
also, if i press the Number Keyboard, the same problems

    for the CD Drive

when the drive comes out, the drive seems not well fixed
i can move it left and right

and the HDD is so noisy, compare to my X200

    is that normal?

    thx

Hi, My number keys and BD drive are also both quite wobbly. I've not found it a problem - although it's not exactly shrieking quality! I don't find my HDD at all noisy. HTH.

Hi, I think mine is a 1005EA, have only had it a couple of weeks and haven't really had time to use it much. I'm certainly having the annoying (and well documented) errors following installation of an HP C6380 printer; IE7 crashes a lot too.

HDD isn't loud at all, Blu Ray drive works fine, there is some flex in the num pad but I don't use it often.

I don't have the 7200.4 yet, but in a few days. My current HDD is Fujitsu 250GB, 5400 RPM. It's pretty quiet, but the new drive will be a lot faster, about 60-70%. The 7200.4 is supposed to be the best!

    I only use 64 bit
