    hi i am using hp pavilion dv5 1102tu . i wanted to install xp to this.it came with vista.but on installing blue screen dump is coming. please any one tell step by step procedure to install xp please...in my laptop i have standard AHCI 1.0 serial ATA Controller driver installed...which SATA driver i have to download for xp... plz help me...thanks in advance

    look here at the DV7 as a starting point since many of the subsystems are the same as DV.

    Windows XP on DV7T

    Edit: A search of the forum with the following search term "dv5 xp" while produce a slew of thread which discuss the level of success and failure of XP on DV5.
