Did you do a fresh OS install? If you did, just go through the driver list.

    Intel Chipset
    Intel Matrix Storage
    Graphics (Intel)
    Sound (Intel & IDT audio)
    Touchpad
    Quick Launch/Quick Touch buttons
Protect Smart hard drive protection ( often forgotten)
    LAN
    Wireless
    Bluetooth
    Card Reader
ENE Infrared (for the remote…. often forgotten)

    Modem (if installed)
    Finger Print Reader (if installed)
    TV Tuner (if installed)

You can get the drivers from either HP or here at NBR via the DV5t latest drivers thread. Hope this helps...

Since your particular model uses Intel graphics, download and install the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator driver listed. This will install the video controller.

Good Deal. Just install the graphics driver as mentioned above and you should be good to go.

Dannyres does a great job keeping that DV5t Driver thread up to date !!

In device manager, select the video device and try a manual driver install. If you need instructions, open the driver.exe file with 7Zip or similar program and read the manual install.txt.
