My fan has stopped going, my temperatures go into high 80's and with load 90s and I shut down, I have my laptop resting on a fan now and temps in 40s, but I do need this as a laptop and wondering what I should do.

I think that the graphic drivers controls ur fans in the computer. Since ur on Intel integrated, Go c if they have new drivers 4 update.

    Hope that helped!

This sounds way more serious than a driver issue. And graphic driver fans don't control the CPU fans. You should call up HP support, hopefully they will repair or replace your notebook.

A cpu doesn't have a fan. This isn't a desktop. In most laptops, there r only 1 fan 2 cool the whole computer.

Fan motor maybe shot or the ball bearings (I'm assuming it uses ball bearings) may have gone bad. Then again, maybe there's a whole lotta dust and junk built up in there. How long have you had the laptop? You'd be surprised how much dust can build up in electronics. I've opened up my desktop to find a huge amount of dust collected in there. That's when compressed air can come in very handy!
