Hi all!
I've been looking for some advices bout deleting vista and installing xp on my hp pavilion dv 6599 (ew) like everywhere but found completely nothing so here I am.
The main problem are drivers of course, but first: I read that installing xp would be quite hard due to sata whis isn't supported by xp. Then I found some info about putting together sata driver and xp instalation with something calle n-force or n-lite, don't remember the name anyway after all I encountered a modified version of xp called Windows MX. It's said to have sata drivers already in it so that would be a great solution. so the drivers again: this is a list of vista drivers to my lap available to download from hp site: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=2093&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=3545232&lang=en
and that's the list for XP: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=228&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=3545232&lang=en
kinda shorter isn't it?![]()
my question is: do I have to search for all these drivers for xp or can I skip some of them? I also read other topic bout gf 8400m GS xp driver... I'll need it to but don't really know what should I look for. will 165.01 driver with modified inf that was mentioned be good? I tried to locate it on laptopvideo2go.com but I don't get how to use this page. If someone has a direct link to the driver I need please post. Maybe you know something more bout windows MX, something I should know![]()
Thanx for all your help in advance
Looking forward to you replies![]()
