I own a dv1000 and I really like the machine, but the fan comes on and off so often that it is quite annoying. What is up with this? Is there anyway to fix this problem. It comes on more frequently when it has been on for awhile. It is a new computer, and I haven't heard a laptop as new as this one that is as loud as this one. Does anyone else have this problem. I work in a quiet enviornment so when the fan comes on, it is loud. Is there anyway I can fix this problem?

    Thanks
    Caleb

Yall, contact HP support center, get the BIOS updated, increase system resources and few more steps here and there. If notebook is in warranty then just ask them to set up for repair service.

The fan will run constantly when more processor usage is there. so, if there are many applications running on the system then Fan will be activated to Cool down the tempt and reduce heat.
