dv1000t PC card slot

I just bought a HP media PC card remote control (according to HP website, it's compatible with dv1000t). Now I just found out that my dv1000t doesn't have a PC card slot. I contacted tech support and they told me that only the old dv1000t have PC card slot and express card slot and the later model of dv1000t have only express card slot. Is this true? This sucks, cos now i have to get another express card remote control. Any of you out there experience the same thing?

I will take some pictures of my lappy and post after i get it back from HP. (had to send it back due to "bad video" they said )

The DV1000T does indeed have an Express Card slot rather than a PC card slot. That's the bad news. The good news is that they also make an Express Card remote. Perhaps you could send it back and get the Express Card one instead?
