i believe its only 32 bits, the core 2 duo is going to be the one with 64 bits. also the vista capable sticky was probably tooken off because i think the dv1000 will be disconunted soon.

It will be able to run Vista, technically. It may or may not be able to run the Aero feature in Vista, as that depends on your graphics card.

The processor in the dv1000t is 32 bit.

my dv1000t came with an extended "designed for windows xp" sticker; had "Windows Vista(r) Capable" at the bottom. so IT WILL be able to run the 32bit version of windows vista since the intel core duo is only a 32bit processor.

Microsoft has recently come up with a new term: Vista Premium PC vs the old one Vista cable PC. I believe dv1000t is Vista capable, which means it covers the basic requirements. IMO, dv1000t will not be able to use Aero glass smoothly and you will be better off if you turn it off.

Acording to the software that microsoft had released to evaluate if the hardware is capable to run vista with aero it will run.

Vista will come in 32 bit and 64 bit. 32 bit will be slower than 64 bit but it will have all the new security features and so forth.
