Does anyone own this? How do you like it? Is it too slow with the single core CPU?

I'm encased in speculative negativity that anyone here has this notebook, or is looking close enough to respond to your thread vsherry. Here is the in depth review from NBR:

And here is CNET's take on it:

Good luck. I'd suggest that a newer "supped up" netbook will give you better performance nowadays. Unless your heart is set on this slick crossover, there are better choices out there.

This notebook is now 2 years old, look at something else. In the same price range I would get the Acer 13.3" 3820TG which has either a core i3/i5 and ATI Mobility Radeon 5470(3dmark06 3700)/5650(3dmark06 6800). If you're set on 12" get the ASUS Eee 1215PN which has Ion 2(3dmark06 2700)>ATI Mobility Radeon 3410(3dmark06 1500) and if you want smaller go with the ASUS Eee 1015PN which has a weaker Ion 2 with a 3dmark06 of ~1500. The Acer 13.3 and Asus 1215PN are more powerful than the dv2 and the Asus 1015PN has a smaller 10 inch screen but it has relatively the same performance.

Don't forget the HP DM1Z. It has the new AMD gen neo processors. Slightly smaller screen at 11.6". Lighter, much faster, runs cooler and games and does HD video more effectively. The DV2 was a good looking rig and many users did like their systems. But I read too many reports of problems with HD video and heat. AMD/ATI combination today is a much better choice then where they were at a few years back on the DV2. I agree, it was a good looking rig and they were heading in the right direction. I just ordered a DM1Z k325 dual core with 3 gigs of ram and 7200 rpm HD. This will no doubt blow the dv2 out of the water in performance.
The DV2's initial claim was it was a small ultra-portable that sported hdmi and could stream HD and playback HD video. Unfortunately, many users did have issues with 1080P video and the HD abilities were taxing the dv2's limits. Whereas in the dm1z, every review I read says it can perform HD tasks with ease. I think the biggest worry I would have is buying a system that can have potential heat issues and the dv2 definitely has its share of user complaints about too much heat... which is a bad thing for notebooks.
