    Hi,
a friend of mine has a dv2000 notebook (out of warranty) and it's showing a weird problem. when he plugs the power cord the power plug led blinks and nothing happens when the power button is pressed.
    i tried this method:
    1. Take out the battery
    2. Make sure AC power is not connected
    3. Press for 10 Second the power button.
    4. Put back the battery
    5.Connect it to AC
    6. Turn it on as normal.

nothing happens, tried too with only the AC but nothing happens also.
is there anything that can be done except sending to hp for repair?
    thanks a lot.

Buy a new power adapter off ebay. Should be under $20.
