I use my dv2000 for college but while at home, I was wondering if its possible to run dual monitors. I was thinking about using my notebook like a "tower" in the sense of a desktop computer and run another keyboard and the dual monitors with my notebook closed. This way, I could disconnect my notebook and take it to school and when I was at home, I could have a more efficient workspace. I know some notebooks allow users to type on the notebook and have another monitor next to it but I'd like to have 2 monitors of the same size at home. Is this possible?

All of this is possible. Out of the box your laptop cannot drive two external monitors - only one plugged into the single VGA out your laptop has.

You could always run your laptop screen and external screen side by side although this is a little awkward.

However, if you wish to spend some money, Matrox do a "Matrox Dual Head 2 Go External VGA Box" which will allow you to run two external displays to your laptop. I've never personally tried it but I've heard it's effective.

    Hope this helps.
