I received my dv2000t yesterday. The ship date was oct. 20, but ended up getting it on the 12th.

After playing around with the laptop I figured I must have received a bad one last time. The touchpad is perfect this time around, and there was no error on startup. The only thing that bothers me this time was the keyboard is much noisier than before. Last but not least, the screen I received is an LG. It's much brighter than the Samsung, but there is more light leakage. Overall, I'm satisfied and I'm glad I gave HP a second chance.

One thing I still don't get, is why does it say Windows Media Center Edition 2002 under My Computer -> Properties. When checking system info, it says Windows XP Pro SP2.

It shouldn't say that. I ordered WinXP MCE2005 as well. Mine says:
    Microsoft Windows XP
    Media Center Edition
    2002
    Service Pack 2

But if you check Media Center in help>about> it says it's the 2005 version.
