I've been reading some mixed reviews about the battery life, and it seems like there is a big difference between XP and Vista.

I spend most of my time plugged in, and I definitely don't want the 12 cell battery that sticks out. But for $29, I might be tempted to get the high capacity 6 cell. The thing is, I am going to be running Linux, not Vista. No 3d eye candy, no games, integrated intel graphics chip. I would be wiling to bet that the battery life w/ the standard 6 cell would be closer to the numbers people are getting with XP. But if anyone out there is running Linux, I would be interested in what kind of battery life you are getting.

    Thanks!
