Step Mania - loaded with 250 songs plays like a dream with highest resolution and all that good stuff
World of Warcraft - highest detail settings except sight range plays Excellent!!
Half life 2 - lowest settings, some medium is chuggy in lots of places, not too fun, but playable
~ episode 1 does not play welll @ all! even lowest settings on everything, its just no good

You do that. I´ll be waiting for the HL2 video.
Congratulations! -
well i managed to get the box open and start it up, i was shocked when i first ran my finger accross the touch mousy thing, its really glossy, like runnin your finger over the hood of your car, but somehow when i use it now it glides over it pretty easy, im used to using it already, although i doubt ill ever use it >_>
Well i got wow patched up and gave it a go, and it runs really nice, i was gettin 50 fps in orgrimmar, i was very happy, after all the crap people talk about the geforce go 7200 i wasnt expecting much, but im very pleased ~
i have yet to finish downloading half life 2 so ill give u an update on that, and my friend has my camera, so the video might take a week, but ill all sorts of res the thread later to give u guys a look ~
the laptop is definitively growing on me, an im very happy with my purchase, its way nicer than my desktop which just wierds me out rofles ~ only thing that sux is going from a 19 inch flatscreen on my desktop to a 14 inch widescreen with wow is very painfull, kinda gotta learn how to play it, but its fun to go back to my 19 inch, its liike WOAH!
ill keep u guys posted with other games and neat things that come around ~ -
pls post the video
-
well i played HL2 for a bit, and i had to turn some stuff down to low, a few medium settings, and it doesnt look all fancy like it does on my desktop, but i have a really nice vid card in that ~ so... it ran at about 45-55 fps, so it was quite playable on max res, the load times were pretty slow =_= i thought that would be way faster ~ but its still fun
Ill still get a video for you guys though, just be patient -
how good can it play all the ea sports games ..madden, nba etc
-
You got the exact same setup I did for the DV2000T. I was wondering if anyone else couldn't justify all that extra money for the Core 2 when a couple of head to head comparisons I've read only showed only marginal improvement, and advised only to go for it if it's the same price. Seems like everyone on here just goes for the core 2, which I guess I would too if I had a bit more money.

Well the Core 2 has 64 bit support, and why wouldnt you want to upgrade, it costs the same.
-
I'm not sold on 64 bit yet either, seems like a compatibility nightmare. -
-
congrats . -
im dling sims 2 and some other stuff so ill give u guys a report on that too kthx -
I received my DV200T on Wednesday, a day earlier than expected by FedEx. I was playing Second Life, and it was so speedy!

To the topic creator, on my computer HL2 runs perfectly, with 35-40 FPS, with settings at all high, native res, and af at 4x. The lowest recorded FPS was 16 and that was at the very end, the explosion scene.
My specs are
Nvidia GO 7200 128MB
Core 2 DUO T7200 2.0GHZ
2 GB OF DDR2 RAM AT 667 MHZ.
Maybe its because I have a more powerful cpu, and more ram, and the 4MB of L2 Cache helps too. -
Congrats on your purchase. I just bought my HP dv2037 a little over a week ago, and I like it a lot. Still figuring out how everything works, but, I'm happy with it. I have the black imprint finish as well, it's nice but gotta watch out for the fingerprints. I got Core Duo, web cam w/ microphone, 14.1" brightview widescreen, lighscribe. I've already gotten compliments on it at school, including from other notebook users. Greg
