Hello. I read the guides on this site and they talk about slipstreaming because XP doesn't have SATA support or something. Are there any guides available for the reinstallation on a Vista machine?

Your trying to install XP and get rid of Vista, or are you trying to install Vista?

Vista doesnt need slipstreaming for SATA drivers cuz it has support for them built-in. Besides if this is from your recovery discs or partition then you shouldnt worry since the procedure for reinstallation will take care of this.

I'm sorry. I should have been more specific. I am going to buy the dv2000t with Vista installed. I am going to want to get rid of all the bloatware that comes preloaded and was wondering if there were any guides to help me do this.

Is it so different from XP that you need a guide? Never read the bloatware topic though so I wouldnt know, but if the issue is installing Vista from say a fresh CD without bloatware then you shouldnt have a problem as Vista does come preloaded with SATA drivers.

I don't know how different it is from XP. I have never used Vista. I am not installing Vista from a fresh CD, I am trying to reload the OS without all the bloatware using the disc that is essentially a copy of the recovery partition.
