New dv2000t with vista is having some problems playing dvds fullscreen with windows media player. Specifically, previews and menus are jumpy, aka the video is not smooth. However, the actual movie will play fine. If not fullscreen things are okay in all regards. Plus, quickplay seems to have no problem running in fullscreen.

I have a t7200 core 2 duo, 2 gigs of ram, geforce go 7200. The dvd-rw drive is a matshta. I am suspicious of the dvd drive because dvds seem to burn at slow write speeds as well.

I have the same problem. I thought 1 GB of memory is insufficient but if you have 2GB and still have this problem that's not it...
