    Hi all,

I posted this in the dv2000t owners' lounge but seem to have gotten no response. I was just wondering what the battery life is like for the 2000t with vista and core2 duo. I just bought mine with a high capacity 6 cell battery and I have read some mixed reviews so I am looking for current owners to share their thoughts. Here are the specs on my new pc:

    - Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit)
    - Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo T5600(1.83GHz/2MB L2Cache)
    - 14.1" WXGA BrightView Widescreen (1280x800)
    - 128MB NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) Go 7200
    - HP Imprint Finish + Microphone + Webcam
    - 40% off upgrade from 1GB (2 Dimm) to 2GB (2 Dimm)!
    - 120GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
    - FREE Upgrade: 8X DVD+/-R/RW w/Double Layer Support
    - Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection
    - No TV Tuner w/remote control
    - High Capacity 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
    - Microsoft(R) Works 8.0

    Thanks everyone!

Like many of the threads have already discussed on here, IT DEPENDS. Basically hard to compare as each user will not have the same application running at the same time. You have to let us know what applications you will be running and how long you want to run them, you have already provided your specs and that is a good start, so that people on here can suggest better options. For me I like the 12 cell battery as it gives me OVER 4-7 hours (again depending an what applications are running) of power and the slant feel while typing is very apealing to me. My point is that you have to have a baseline for comparison.

Main problem with vista is the nvidia driver isnt very good especially at power savings, so the battery life isnt as good as XP. Also lots of factors come into play such as usage, wireless and screen brightness
