After deleting the original IDE driver and installed SATA driver for hard drive manually, I turned on the SATA support in CMOS setup.

The system successfully booted, however, I noticed that the Primary IDE Channel indicates the transfer mod is: multi-word dma mode 2

Is this normal? If not, how can I install SATA driver manually?

I'm using my dv2000t to type this - I installed XP Pro on this using a slipstreamed CD. I'm set to Native SATA in BIOS but I can't find anything in the dev mgr which indicates multi-word dma mode 2? This probably sounds dumb but if you're set to Native SATA and it booted up you should be fine. Has it been booting very slowly or otherwise acting up?

the drive speed seems to be fine but after searching the net, multi-word dma mode 2 only transfers at about 16MB which should slow down the system.

Other than that, it booted fine.
