Just now when I was cleaning the side on the back of the screen, I noticed that on the left-upper corner was scratched.

I usually put it in the my backpack and put it together with books. Now I see that in fact imprint finish is not as scratch resistant as I thought.

I just had this lappy for two months. Maybe more scratches will appear later.

Do you guys have scratches on your pavilion?

I have a few, but they're barely visible.

I carry my HP in a padded laptop bag quite a bit and it has taken on A LOT of incidental sratches. I suppose this is expected for a sleek, high-gloss finish. Still a great laptop.

I have a scratch that runs the length of my dv2000t (from top to bottom). I didn't notice it until the return period had passed. I know this was caused by the factory because I baby my notebook. I can live with it though because I can only see it if light hits it in a certain way.

I still haven't taken off the plastic sheet that came with mine in fear of scratches. I even have a protective sleeve when I carry it in my backpack

I've done the same. I did not remove the plastic and put my notebook in a sleeve before inserting it into the bag. Sleeves prevent scratches.

Well, the plastic sleeve can't help you if there are scratches already there. That's what happened to me. And, come to think of it, it wasn't my choice to stop using it. The sticky part stopped sticking to my laptop about 2 weeks after I got it.
