    Mobile AMD Sempron(TM) 3500+ (1.80GHz/512KB)
    AMD Turion(TM) 64 Mobile MK-36 (2.0 GHz/512KB)

How much of a performance increase would my g/f get in the sims 2 going from the sempron 1.8ghz to the Turion 2.0 ghz?

The x2 is out of our price range.

In the case of games, the GPU matters more than the CPU...see GPU Guide. But Sims should work well.

The Sempron 3500+ should be fine. Any differnce is going to be 0 - 5% range. If you want benchmarks search the web for comparisions between the Athlon64 2800+(1.8/512k) & the 3000+(2.0/512k). The same difference will exist between the Sempron 3500+ & the Turion MK-36.

The only advantage other than clock speed the MK 36 has over the Sempron is that it has hardware support for virtualization.

The performance increase is not that much. Sims should work great on either
